This past weekend we went to our local Christmas festivities. Being that we live in Florida, though it started the day at a chilly (or chilly by our standards) 60 degrees by mid-day it there was a sweltering heat. I am so glad we packed a hiking bag full of alternate outfits for the kids.
I was exhausted after three hours of sketch carnival food, inflatable play houses, running through sprinklers and playing in kiddie parks. As I walked away with a mild case of (winter?) heat stroke. I jokingly told my husband:
"Anything to give them rich childhood experiences"
A nearby parent (who looked equally as exhausted) chuckled and said:
